My go-to cafe whenever in i am in downtown. It is so relaxing, to either study or talk. I came here with a friend to catch up, we didn’t wait too long for a table, customer service on point (they are patient and answer your questions, 10/10 thank you). Had a drink (Genmaicha tea, my favourite tea) and dessert, their cakes is delicious, not too sweet and it’s perfect . We had the strawberry Pistachio cake and the Kyoto Matcha Yuzu cake. The soft serve, I got the mix and it was delicious. Matcha isn’t overbearing or too strong, it’s so smooth with the Kinako, none is overpowering each other; smooth and delicious (10/10).
I really like the matcha ice cream here and see how many cakes I ordered? they were delicious and there was a small spicy salmon rice I ate but forgot to take a picture. Don't mind the strawberries and the cheese tarts because I bought them somewhere else. I heard the ice cream will change 2 flavors seasonally.
We’ve tried almost everything at this cafe, and all of it was amazingly delicious. The Japanese cakes and desserts are absolutely perfect, light and flavorful. They won’t upset your stomach. Even the onigiris are better than in Japan, there’s definitely more fish in them! This is one of my favorite spots in Toronto. I wish they would open more branches across Canada.
I had the matcha yuzu drink with ice cream?? (forgot the name), it was so good. The cake was also soft and not too sweet, which was perfect. I’d love to come back again.
Rich enough soft serve and consistent food quality. Have been here for more than thrice and I adore their jasmine and green tea puffs :) The cafe is laptop friendly and a nice hangout spot as well.
I’ve been coming here for years. It’s my go to cafe for pastry, it’s good for catching up with friends or study session. I’ve tried working from this cafe twice. There’s very limited outlets (I think two) so you should come early if you want to secure a spot. There’s plenty of seats otherwise. Note: if you are in vpn and use the wifi, it’ll keep disconnecting. The ambiance is good, it’s so aesthetic there’s also cute instrumentals in the background. I had a meeting and it was a little loud. My voice was echoing but still understandable. The pastries are also delicious! I also recommend their hinako matcha latte. It’s very good and you can tell the matcha is very good quality based on the color. Their soft serve sundaes are also good. Highly recommend this cafe! Just come early if you want pastries
I’ve been here a couple of times now, and the quality of the matcha has been consistently great. Flavours are strong, rich, and really well-balanced— definitely one of the better spots if you’re into proper matcha. The matcha sundae strikes that perfect balance between refreshing and indulgent. Creamy soft serve with a delicate texture, plus chewy mochi and a bit of a crunch from the cereal toppings— super satisfying, especially on a warm day. Easily my favourite! The matcha cream puff is worth trying as well. The pastry is light and airy, with a nice matcha glaze on top that adds just the right touch of sweetness. Inside, the cream is smooth, rich, and kind of addictive. I also tried the matcha daifuku, and the textures were incredible. The mochi is super pillowy-soft with just the right amount of chew, and the filling is a cool, velvety matcha cream that’s subtly sweet. One thing I really appreciate is being able to adjust the sugar level in their drinks. I went for the matcha latte with less sugar, and it still had a full, deep flavour without being too sweet. Just a heads up— it does get pretty busy, so seating can be tight.
Recommended by a friend as i love Matcha. So glad I visited this place. Everything was amazing and staff was super friendly. I came in the morning and is wasnt busy at all. I got the kinako matcha latte, matcha cream puff, strawberry crunchy eclair and matcha cookie. The matcha latte was rich in flavour just like the ones i had in Japan. The matcha cream puff was out of this world, the best i have ever had. I decided to eat that one in the store cuz I didn't think it would travel well. The rest took back to eat at my hotel. When i travel to Toronto again i want to visit this place. Totally recommend it!!
